The
man in the moon
was
replaced by his wife.
Adorned
with red lipstick,
smiling
bright,
pink
and peach makeup,
a
little orange blush,
she
was talking to me
excited
to be
replacing
her husband
temporarily.
We
didn’t talk long.
She’s
actually shy.
Back
in his shadow,
she’d
much rather lie.
So,
he joined her
up
in the dark sky.
You
could see on his face,
the
pride for his wife,
puffed
up full and bright,
his
white shining light,
once
again taking charge
over
the night.
Yes,
the man in the moon
stepped
back for a while,
to
show off his wife
with
her pretty red smile.
